Belford Community Market

Belford Community group held their first ever community market recently and it has been hailed as a resounding success. With stalls offering locals and visitors alike the chance to buy products from water colours and jewellery to plants, wood carvings and postcards.

“It was really superb effort by all concerned” said organiser Lindsey Nicholson. “ We had about 300 people coming through during the morning and we intend to hold the market on the first Saturday of every month in future. What was particularly nice was that people from the village all came in and had a chat when meeting each other so it became something of a social occasion as well.”

Following the highly successful and well attended preview of the Community Group premises by local associations and societies on the evening of Wednesday 21st March, a sunny morning greeted a large group of local people who assembled at 10am on Saturday 31st March for the official opening to the public of the Belford Community Group premises.
